The Challenge

Promotions work best when a brand has a database of people to send them to. ASpol wanted to build its subscriber list faster, without increasing website traffic.

The Test: Pop-up vs. Slider

At edrone, we prepared two variants of the sign-up form, both displayed using engagement and scarcity rules—namely, at the moment when the user is interested, but not yet buying.

• Pop-up alone: 3.17% subscription-to-session conversion rate.

• Slider combined with a pop-up: 6.92% conversion rate.

The Result

Combining the slider and the pop-up resulted in more than double the effectiveness in collecting sign-ups, which was clearly visible on the subscriber growth chart over time. A larger database means more effective promotions and repeat sales without advertising costs. You can read more about this in the article on marketing automation in e-commerce.
