Instead of driving traffic to a product page, we built campaigns around the experience: designing your own modular sofa.

typical sofa decision path
The Challenge
Modular sofas are a higher-ticket product with a lengthy decision-making process, often extending beyond 10 days. Many brands are wary of configurators, assuming that users will simply play around without making a purchase. We did the exact opposite and built our strategy entirely around the configurator.
The Solution: A 360° Configurator
On furni.io, we launched a configurator where users can:
• build their sofa modularly on their own,
• select the layout, color, and fabric,
• view the furniture in 360°,
• see how the sofa looks in their own interior by uploading a photo or video.
Advertising Strategy
Campaigns Driving Traffic to the Configurator
Not to a standard product page and not to a catalog, but straight into an interactive experience. Video creatives showcased the configurator's features, while image ads encouraged users to try it out. In Google Ads, the campaign directing users to the configurator achieves a significantly higher CTR than others.
Remarketing to Users Who Configured
This is the most valuable audience: they know the product, have invested time in it, and are close to deciding. Here, we weren't just selling a sofa; we were selling certainty: the perfect fit for their interior, modularity, and layout flexibility.
Why It Works
The configurator closes the gap between "just browsing" and "this is mine," eliminates doubts about whether the furniture will fit, and gives the user full control over their choice.
The Result
A 40% increase in sales since launching the configurator, higher-quality ad traffic, and an elevated shopping experience.
